Food Review : Cupcake Cafe Prestatyn

Afternoon :) 

A few weeks ago it was my Dad's 70th birthday and my mum organised his cake through Cupcake Cafe in Prestatyn  (my home town). 

I followed Cupcake Cafe's Twitter page along time ago (click here) and they do some impressive occasion and personalised cakes! Also it's run by two lovely ladies whose children went to my mum's local playgroup (before she retired - and for this purpose my mum is known as Aunty Angela!). 

Back to the cake! The birthday cake was amazing and tasted delicious. For the rough cost of £45 and my mum's brief of 'something nice and for his 70th birthday' they did a cracking job... my only disappointment was only getting to eat one slice 

(We added the sparkler candles they started off a silver ones before they were lit)

Through Twitter I knew they had started doing some insane milkshakes aka 'dessertshakes' and where we only travel back home for a Saturday and Sunday normally, what better thing to do on a Monday off before travelling back to Bristol is to go for a casual milkshake with Mr B!

Cupcake Cafe is a small cafe located at the top of Prestatyn high street and it is not to be missed! 

In the lovely world of cake and milkshakes we grabbed a 2 seater table by the window and I ordered the Candymania dessertshake and Mr B went for Cookies & Cream... OMG these were amazing!! And for £4 each these were well worth the price 

In summary, Candymania was covered in marshmallow fluff, cream and sweeties with a scrumpy strawberry flavoured milkshake where Mr B's was cookies, cream and a super chocolatey milkshake...YUMMMM! These are so good and so filling, they are insane!

Needless to say when we're back at home we'll be heading there again (they've just tweeted about a red velvet version!)

And we couldn't walk out without picking up some of their daily cupcakes for when mum and dad got back that afternoon, four 99' cupcakes please! Again, melt in the mouth an such a lovely idea for a cupcake theme.

All this said, if you're in North Wales please go visit Cupcake Cafe as you won't be disappointed
